Business Credit
Your info/answers are Great! Thank you for a clear idea on how to establish business creditt. I have a general question with respect to office space. when you are establishing your business. Can you lease space from companies that specialize in shared office space. Example-HQ office space. I heard that DNB will pick-up that it is shared office space and killed your paydex score. You will on be considered a real busines. Any idea?
Shared office space will not affect your paydex at all. However, it will show up on your report that the address you are using is shared offcie space..
Be honest and truthful about your space if asked... Shared office space beats saying you do business out of a PO box, that's for sure :)

How Long Does It Take to Become an Allied Health Professional?
Medical assistants work in doctor's offices and hospitals, and the services they provide are indispensable to the modern healthcare environment. These allied health professionals have job duties in the waiting room and front office, as well as more specialized tasks with patients working alongside doctors and nurses. If you choose to become a medical assistant you will learn everything from administrative tasks to hands on patient care. The certification process will take at least one year or longer if you are planning on specializing in a certain area of medicine.
The road to becoming a medical assistant is finding an educational program that has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. There are vocational and technical schools that offer these programs, as well as community colleges. Most vocational and technical schools take about a year, while most community colleges take about two years. The advantage of the second is the more specialized training that can be very helpful in the job market.
You will need to get hands on training through an internship or similar program, either during the final stages of your training or after you have graduated. Then you'll need to take the medical assistant certification test administered by the National Board of Medical Examiners to get your Certified Medical Assistant license. At this point you'll be ready to apply for jobs and begin your career.

Acupuncture Universities - Getting the Most out of Your Health Education
![]() |

As a prospective student, it is sometimes difficult to determine in
which one of the many acupuncture universities or other complementary
medicine schools you'd like to enroll. One of the first things you
should do is make a list of potential contacts for your Oriental
medicine school of choice. The next step is to pursue these contacts
and explore your career training options.
As
you will discover, many acupuncture institutes and other Oriental
medicine colleges typically require some degree of higher education
before students can enroll into academic programs. So, it is important
that applicants acquire official transcripts from previous educational
institutions.
In order to enroll in the MSAOM (Master of Science
in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) degree program at most acupuncture
universities and schools, students must have completed an educational
equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. As well, students pursuing the DAOM
(Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) degree soon learn that
minimum prerequisites include the equivalent of the MSAOM degree.
Now
that you've organized your transcripts, it's time to take a virtual
journey to the many available acupuncture universities and colleges
online. Because the Internet has improved the prevalence of educational
resources, this is a good place to begin. As with any Chinese medicine
school, you will learn there are more than just degree programs
available to you. A matter of fact, a number of acupuncture and
Oriental medicine colleges extend adjunct certificate and/or diploma
programs in Chinese medical massage (Tuina), meridian therapy, herbal
medicine, continuing education, as well as post-graduate courses.
Once
you've chosen your top three school candidates, it's time to determine
your financial need and availability of financial aid resources at the
educational institution of choice. Much like conventional schools,
acupuncture universities frequently participate in tuition assistance
programs like the PELL grant, among other loan options.
After
you've applied for financial aid, filed your transcripts, and submitted
an application to your selected acupuncture school - be prepared for not
only course-intensive programs, but for a whole new concept in modern
and natural healthcare education. Aside from certificate and diploma
courses, students pursuing acupuncture degree programs will be
pleasantly surprised at the wealth of comprehensive knowledge and skills
they will gain. In addition to basic health sciences like anatomy,
physiology, and biology; students enrolled in acupuncture universities
gain in-depth philosophies and studies of TCM (Traditional Chinese
Medicine), acupuncture therapy (and/or auricular-acupuncture), meridian
therapy, moxibustion, cupping, Chinese herbology, Tai Chi/Qi Gong,
Eastern bodywork modalities like acupressure, and Chinese medical
terminology, among other associated studies.
Upon completion of
all necessary academics and clinical internship, graduates of
acupuncture programs must take and pass the National Certification
Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine exam. Once candidates
have successfully achieved certification, they may then apply for
licensure* to practice in their respective State of residence. (*Check
individual State requirements.)
Today, many professional
acupuncturists are considered primary care physicians, and stand to earn
a comfortable living*, and a personally-rewarding, long-term career.
(*Earnings range from $40 -$70 per patient session.)

someone you know) are interested in finding alternative and

3 Ways to Really Engage Your Audience the Next Time You Show that Health Education Video
| Add caption |
Here are three (3) exciting ways to use video in your NEXT health education presentation:
1. Challenge your audience to look for several action points in the in the video.
Offer a prize for whoever meets the challenge. For example, there is a lead prevention video called The Silent Epidemic which focuses on the cause, prevention and dangers of lead poisoning. You could say "I will give a prize for the person who can find at least five ways to prevent lead poisoning mentioned in the film."
2. Put your audience to work.
Divide your participants into groups of no more than seven (7) people. Ask each group to develop a list of questions that were not addressed in the video.
Perhaps your audience has more insights than the film chosen. Once people are asked to provide critical feedback they are often very willing.
Have each group report back to the entire audience. Allow time for discussion after each presentation.
3. Challenge your participants to come up with at three (3) things they would do different if they were the creators of the health education film.
This is a great activity for an afternoon. After groups have been divided into teams assign them to create a new segment on storyboard for an audience that has not been addressed by the film. Or have participants come up with strategies to present the information in a more engaging way.
For example, a film on safety prevention aimed at teens may or may not capture all segments of teens. What would they suggest? What would those groups do different to make it work?
Have each group report their creative suggestions to the entire audience.
If
you use any one or combination of these strategies it will dramatically
reinforce the messages given in your health education film.
Give it a try!
